Annotation
The course will focus on three axes: the first is an overall view of the history of France: the major periods and the main events related to them, the major figures who have made a major contribution to the history of the country, the main lines of sociological, economic and political development. The second axis will enable students to orient themselves in the history of French art, introducing the major artistic movements, the main artists and their great works, as well as giving guidance on how to read monumental works of architecture, painting and sculpture.
The content of the third axis will include an orientation to the basic bibliography and didactic guidelines for talking about these topics with children at the first level of primary school. The first part of the course will discuss the history of France from Gaul and the Gallo-Roman civilization to the Classical period (17th century).
