Annotation

The aim of the course is to open basic methodological questions of comparative pedagogy and lead them to acquire basic methods and approaches. The course is further specified in relation to pre-school education so that students can understand selected examples of individual countries: the conditions affecting the functioning of pre-school education in a given country, ie social, economic and political context; - differing in the concept of childhood, and therefore the different formulation of pre-school goals; - curricular documents; - early language learning; - access, diagnosis and support for children with special educational needs; - qualification of teaching staff; - management of pre-school institutions; - evaluating the quality of pre-school institutions; - cooperation with family and participation of parents in leading preschool facilities.

The aim of the course is to gain a deeper insight into the thematic areas, to determine the basic variables of European trends in pre-school education and to formulate the basic attitudes necessarily present in the reforms of the Czech pre-school education in the European context.
