The literary part of this lecture will deal with contemporary discussions on how to write the history of literature. This debate has evolved over the past decade on the basis of general history suggestions where this questions has also taken place. These discussions questioned the traditional linear causal model of history writing. Here attempts have been made to find other ways of writing history, ie other literary-historical methods for understanding history. We will critically observe not only these debates but also their results and new methods of writing history.
It is obvious that the teaching of literature, which is traditionally based on literary history at all levels of schools, can not remain part of these methodological challenges. This part of the lesson will therefore result in a reflection on how to innovate the literary-historical ways of teaching.
Credit requirements: Written work reflecting or proposing the innovation of the literary-historical principle in the teaching of literature at the second level of elementary school / secondary school.
