Annotation
In the winter semester, the course History of Historiography provides a comprehensive overview of the basic epochs in the development of the discipline from its birth in ancient antiquity to the second half of the 19th century, with special emphasis on the historiography of the Czech lands, but in a Central European and European context. Attention is paid both to key authors and their works, and to the evolving methods of historical research, changes in the position of history among other social science disciplines, the changing role of the historian, and other contexts of political, social and cultural life.
