German listening practice with reflection

Class at Faculty of Education |
OPNG4G013A

Annotation

The aim of the course is to deepen the field-specific practical preparation of students. The listening practice is therefore included in the first semester of the follow-up Master's degree, and students have the opportunity to get acquainted with a specific educational environment at a primary or secondary school or another institution offering language education before their own continuous practice.

The course consists in the implementation of 12 hours of listening sessions in German language classes at school, where students use observation forms and assignments to follow the course of the lessons, followed by six hours of reflection in a standard learning environment under the guidance of the teacher. The participation of selected invited practitioners - teachers with whom the practice took place - is also expected.

In order to meet the outcome of the listening practice, students compile portfolios documenting the activities carried out in the course. Part of the listening practice is also the implementation of independent mini-internships (microteaching) of students, it can be tandem teaching, assisting the teacher, etc.
