Annotation

The aim of the course is to provide students with an insight into the changing position of the German language in foreign language teaching at primary and secondary schools under the influence of multilingualism. Students will become familiar with the concept of multilingualism and its specific manifestations in the current reality of institutional teaching of foreign languages ​​(the status of German as a second foreign language after English as a result of the introduction of a mandatory second CJ at the 2nd level of elementary school; teaching German in a group of pupils with different mother tongues - inclusion of pupils -foreigners; bilingualism and German language-oriented bilingual programs in Czech primary and secondary schools; CLIL; immersion).

Students will actively search for sources on the topic being studied, attend a German class with a group of students with different mother tongues, attend a lecture and discussion with a pedagogical staff member of a school with a bilingual program. The course will also include video recordings of the teaching of selected topics, including evaluation.
