Action research at elementary and secondary schools presents an important educational topic. Action research uses established research methods and aims to positively change social environment in schools. It can help educators to handle important task, such as to sensitize students to specific themes (e.g., classroom relations, discrimination, aggression, helping, or peer inclusion), to evaluate effectiveness of school prevention efforts or to facilitate cooperation among professionals in the school. Students will learn to understand, design, and conduct action research. The course adopts a project approach with all students preparing and conducting a joint action research project. Topics:
