Advantages and disadvantages of using alternative and augmentative communication means
Characteristics of selected alternative and augmentative communication systems
Systems without aids (Sign to Speech, MAKATON, Czech Sign Language, examples of other systems)
Systems with aids (subject communication, communication with using photographs, pictures and pictograms, PECS (VOKS) - Picture Exchange Communication System, Bliss system, global reading method, social reading method, examples of other systems)
Facilitated communication
Technical aids, the use of special hardware and software in the issue of alternative and augmentative communication
The use of means of alternative and augmentative communication in the speech therapy intervention, concretization of the use of alternative and augmentative communication systems in selected users
Annotation
The course introduces students to the basic means of alternative and augmentative communication.
