Syllabus

Phonetic and phonological disorders; fluence disorders – balbuties and tumultus sermonis; specific language impairment – etiology, symptomatology and impact on educational process, integration, inclusion of pupils with developmental dysphasia; pupils with dysarthria; developmental verbal dyspraxia; myofunctional disorders; pupils with congenital defects – orofacial clefts in the school age.

Annotation

Students will be acquainted with theoretical knowledge and practical experience from the issue of pupils with communication disorders. Students will also acquire knowledge about fluence disorders (balbuties and tumultus sermonis) and learn about the difficulties of educational process in pupils with fluence disorders.

The issue of current opinions on the field of developmental neurogenic communication disorders, specific language impairment and approaches in education of theese pupils will be mentioned. Other discussed topics will be about the issue of the therapeutic approaches of myofunctional disorders in the Czech republic and abroad and the speech therapy intervention in pupils with palatolalia.
