Annotation

The psychology of sport deals with the application of psychological knowledge to the field of sport, especially the interrelationships between the psyche of an individual and physical exercise. The course introduces students to basic concepts from general and social psychology, to specific psychological aspects of sport and physical education and their use in physical education practice.

It includes sports activity and its characteristics from the point of view of psychology, the subject and tasks of TV and sports psychology, psychological processes applied during physical exercises, the laws of motor learning, social-psychological aspects of sports activity, psychological preparation of the athlete, development of the athlete's motivational structure, current psychological states. Oral verification of students' knowledge is the way to end the course.
