The course is focused on acquiring practical teaching skills. Students observe, analyze and reflect on the teaching process as a whole, pay attention to individual learning situations, organization of art activities, time phases of the learning process, motivation, reflection of the process and its evaluation.
They also focus on the teacher's concept of teaching and the specific individual manifestations of students in the teaching of art education. The course develops students' ability to observe, analyze and reflect on the teaching of art education in connection with the knowledge of art culture, art theory, didactics and experience gained by the author in the scope of bachelor's study.
He places students' experiences in connection with the curriculum of the educational field of Arts and Culture, selected means of expression, artistic procedures and with appropriate ways of reflection and evaluation. Based on the observed lessons, students prepare pedagogical diaries, which reflect and then form part of the pedagogical portfolio.
The aim of the course is to draw students' attention to practical teaching and to lay the foundations for their own insight into their course and effectiveness. It is desirable that students have the opportunity to observe a wide range of pedagogical approaches and types of educational institutions and to consult the acquired experience with faculty teachers and subject didactics.
