The compulsory course is aimed at extending the knowledge and skills of the basic curriculum of athletics with a prof training of sprint disciplines in athletics. It offers an extension of knowledge and skills for students interested in speed training and coordination.
The content of course is specific running and sprinting drills focusing on sprint technique, crouch start, relay exchang in various modifications in 4 × 100 m and 4 × 400 m, as well as special preparatory exercises for hurdling events (eg. during walking and dynamic walking with preload, three-step run and one step run between obstacles). It also includes the adoption of individual didactic procedures in sprinter disciplines.
To understand both flat and hurdle sprints training, speed training in athletic preparations is introduced and practiced in the general and group events specific stage of athletic training.
