14. Speed ​​training in athletic preparations and in the basic stage of athletic training. Exercises:

1. Sprint running technique with a focus on sprinter and wall drills

2. Low and semi-low start technique with its use in flat and hurdle sprints

3. Technique of hurdles course 100 m BC and 110 m BC

4. Technique of hurdles course 100 m BC and 110 m BC II.

5. Technique hurdles course 400 m BC.

6. Training means for development of reaction and acceleration speed in sprint

7. Training means for developing maximum and supramaximal speed in sprint

Annotation

The compulsory course is aimed at extending the knowledge and skills of the basic curriculum of athletics with a prof training of sprint disciplines in athletics. It offers an extension of knowledge and skills for students interested in speed training and coordination.

The content of course is specific running and sprinting drills focusing on sprint technique, crouch start, relay exchang in various modifications in 4 × 100 m and 4 × 400 m, as well as special preparatory exercises for hurdling events (eg. during walking and dynamic walking with preload, three-step run and one step run between obstacles). It also includes the adoption of individual didactic procedures in sprinter disciplines.

To understand both flat and hurdle sprints training, speed training in athletic preparations is introduced and practiced in the general and group events specific stage of athletic training.
