Lectures: 1-2. Introduction to Pharmacology; Conditions for classified credit; General Pharmacology - pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, adverse drug effects etc 3-4.

Drugs affecting autonomic nervous system; Peripheral myorelaxants; Cardiovascular drugs; Respiratory drugs; Obesity and metabolic syndrome treatment 5-6. Sex Hormones and hormonal contraception; Anabolic steroids; Antidiabetics; Glucocorticoids; Agents affecting bone mineral turnover; Local antibiotics 7.

Drugs affecting CNS; Central myorelaxants; Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; Pain killers

Annotation

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the characteristics of the basic group of drugs and medicines used in medicine. Students will gain knowledge about the effects of these drugs and medicines, as well as the factors that influence their action.

In particular, the subject is becoming increasingly important in recent times, when preparations that contain many of these active substances are freely available.
