Syllabus

Lectures: 1. History of taping 2. - 4. Types of taping techniques, objectives and effects, indication of contraindications, taping material. 5. Tejping in athletes by injured tissue (ligamentum, muscle, bone) 6. Functional taping and its indication (after surgery, after trauma, degenerative diseases) 7. EBM and taping techniques

Exercises: 1. Immobilization taping for lower limb joints 2. Immobilization taping for upper limb joints 3. Immobilization tapes for the hull 4. Stabilization taping 5. Functional taping to change muscle tone and affect dysfunctional muscle chains 6. - 8. Application of selected kinesiotejping methods 9. Taping according to McConell concept - characteristics, mechanism of action 10. Application of tapes according to McConell for knee joint problems. 11. Application of McConell tapes for shoulder joint problems 12.-13. Application of functional taping with respect to the Brügger concept 14. Current taping techniques

Annotation

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with various approaches to taping techniques, their goals and effects, indications and contraindications, followed by current research results in view of taping effect. The aim of practical training is to acquire skills in the application of selected taping techniques on various parts of the movement system.
