Annotation

The subject of gymnastics provides both fundamental theoretical and practical introduction to a range of movement skills in the field of basic gymnastics, encompassing exercises without apparatus, exercises with apparatus, and routines on selected apparatus. These are executed both with and without musical accompaniment.

The content of the gymnastics course establishes a foundation for conscious control of body movements and its various parts. During instruction, emphasis is placed on understanding the physiological effects of different exercise groups and the variability of their difficulty levels. Furthermore, students learn basic didactic principles for designing and presenting group exercises aimed at creating health-oriented physical activity programs.
