Syllabus
* Lectures 1. Introduction into methodology, basic research paradigms - quantitative and qualitative research. Examples of research from gymnastics sports 2. Overview of previous researches in gymnastic sports, types of research methods, databases and magazines. 3. Writing scientific text. Structure of scientific work. 4. - 6. Research methods suitable for diagnostics of selected factors determining performance in gymnastic sports - somatic, functional, pedagogical-didactic, physical, rules. Reliability of gymnastic performance evaluation, critical difference, normalization of results. 7. Diagnostic methods for analysing of gymnastic skills and performances.
Seminars: 1. -7. The contents of the individual seminars are related to the topics covered in the lectures. Students present results of processing of their theses, in practice they are getting acquainted with the utilization of selected collection methods.
Annotation
The course expands the theoretical knowledge and professional skills of students specializing in gymnastic sports. It provides a comprehensive overview of current research and methods used in the field of gymnastic sports.
Emphasis is particularly given to applied research in relation to specific performance characteristics in gymnastic sports.
