Classwork contents:
1. Dance steps: walk, trot, changeover step - polka, mazurka on 3 steps. Czech folk dances: Mrákotín, Boleslav, Švec, Mazurka
2. Dance steps: Mazurka step with hand clapping rhythm, Polka with slight turning in couple, roundelay step in 2/4 rhythm, Sousedská (Neighbourly) on 3 steps. Czech folk dances: Jihočeské kolečko (South Bohemian roundelay) 2/4 - dance Dokolečka (Round about), Šátečkový (Hanky).
3. Dance steps: Kalamajka tap downs, swinging walk, Neighbourly dance on 2 steps, Polka in reel. Czech folk dances: Kalamajka and its versions. Rejdovák (Reel) and Rejdovačka. Repetition of learned dances.
4. Dance steps: Wallachian jump-step, doubly spring walk, Mazur steps. Moravian folk dances. Pilky (Saw), Dráteník (Tinker), Lašský mazur.
5. Dance steps: primary step of Starodávného (Ancient), split triple step, whirling by triple step in couple, legs shifts - direct, counter, separate steps of Odzemek. Moravian folk dances: Starodávný, Ondraš, Černá vlna.
6. Dance steps: whirling springy step, "zásuvka" - cross figure, heel-tip steps, girl jiggering from side to side, separate figures of Czardas. Moravian folk dances: Kopaničářský čardáš Acquired dances repetition.
7. Dances from Czech and Moravian folklore districts, than dances of other nations, for instance Greek, Macedonian, Estonian and Country dance. Each lesson includes warming up in accordance to standards of dance movement grounding and the given dance steps training. Students will master the dance steps firstly individually, then in couple, eventually in the group.
Short lecture on Czech and Moravian folklore districts, life at village, rituals and traditions is included within opening lecture.
Explanation of historic dance ranks, their partition and typology. Explication of terms whirling dance, round dance, dance of firm and free structure with music accompaniment (figural).
