Students will follow a supervised programme of reading and critical reflection upon an agreed topic area within sports ethics and integrity leading to the production of a written thesis (about 20,000 words). The topic will be chosen by the student, and pursued with the help of a thesis supervisor, after the annual Summer School at the International Olympic Academy, University of the Peloponnese (end of year 1). During the Summer School, Year 2 students will present their thesis to an audience of staff examiners and Year 1 students. During the Summer School, each year, all supervising academics will also present possible industry-relevant research topics for theses. For the Year 1 students, project topics will be discussed, and the student/supervisor allocation will be made.

This module has three parts:

- methodology of the Masters thesis,

- structure of the thesis,

- the actual work in sports ethics and integrity.
