Old Testament Theology (distance class)

Class at Protestant Theological Faculty |
RETD1041

Annotation

Old Testament theology is the specific genre through which Old Testament scholarship responds to the Enlightenment. In the face of historical criticism, it attempts to articulate what the Old Testament is ultimately about. This course traces the movement that Old Testament scholarship has made since the advent of the Enlightenment.

It introduces its most important stages and 20th-century protagonists. It assumes independent study of texts, for the most part in English and German.
