Annotation

This module seeks to provide complex summary of the key processes of early European colonialism, drawing upon example of Latin American region. Apart from introducing students to the fundamental history of the conquest, colonization and creation of colonial administration by Spain and Portugal, it explores perspectives of the marginalized and oppressed groups (indigenous population, black slaves, New Christians etc.).
