Anotace

The aim of the course is to teach statistical data analysis methods for humanities in the most practical way with as little mathematics as possible. The course topics include descriptive statistics, data visualization, and introduction to statistical hypothesis testing (comparisons of two and more datasets, correlation and regression analysis). The course does not include data collection techniques. The students will work with Excel and statistical package SPSS and will compute real world example using existing data similar as or the same as the empirical part of bachelor degree thesis. The course is suitable for students who start to work or already working on bachelor degree paper which includes empirical part, as they will get practical help with their own statistical data analysis.
