Philosophy according to Plato begins with wonder and nothing else - by wondering about the curiousness of seemingly trivial things. The course should evoke and develop student’s interest for philosophy as an effort for independent, consistent and critical thinking.
The students should understand that philosophic thinking is not necessarily limited to the traditional topics of epistemology, ontology or ethics, but can and should be applied wherever we feel embarrassed, at the end of our wits. The course starts with a phenomenological survey of the basic human situation, of sensory experience, language and speech, and continues with various topics of human experience and practice with the world.
