Disputes over human nature and the origin of society in the British philosophy of 17th and 18th centuries

Class at Faculty of Humanities |
YBFC137

Annotation

The course is primarily designed as a critical reading of the critical edition of Hume's "A Treatise of Human Nature"(Clanderon Hume Edition, 2007), which is the masterpiece of philosophical anthropology based on "classical (British) empiricisms" foundations. Thus the course will be concerned with the origin and the development of Hume's "Science of Man" (as a particular kind of philosophical reflection of man).
