1./ Anthropology of migration-characteristics of the study object, fundamental concepts and theories. 2./Qualitative methods and study of migration /witha special focus on using biographical analyses/. 3./ Gender and migration. 4./ Migrants in Czcech Republic /legislative situation and its influence on lives of migrants/ and contemporary research on migration in Czech Republic. 5./Nacionalism and study of migration. 6./ Concept of transnacionalism,its ctitics and traslocalism. 7./ Apllication of the research results on migration and trasnacionalism. 8./ Ethics of the research on migration and trasnacionalism.

Annotation

This follow-up seminar to the course "Anthropology of Migration and Transnationalism" introduces basic theoretical concepts and methodological approaches in migration and transnacionalism studies. Through critical analysis of key texts, comparison of a variety of research projects, and participation in professional research projects, students are prepared to work independently on their master's thesis. Special emphasis is placed on the possible application of research results in state administration,

NGO's and international organisations.
