Annotation

The course is designed to increase student´s awareness, knowledge, and critical skills related to diversity and adversity in the workplace. The first half of this course examines how race, gender, age, economic status, professional status, disabilities, ethnicity, and national origin can impact how people are perceived.

It looks into the nature of bias and its impact on our attitudes and professional judgments, and how to counteract the effects of bias. The second half of the workshop builds on the foundation of the first half.

It uses workshopping and team exercises to help participants develop practical steps that can be taken to manage diversity and encourage acceptance and openness in the workplace.
