The graduate has both oral and written competence in Portuguese (level C1) and has good knowledge of the foundations of Portuguese Linguistics, Literary Theory, History of Portugal and Brazil as well as of History of Portuguese and Brazilian Literature. He/she is prepared to enter an M.A. programme, especially Luso-Brazilian and Ibero-American Studies.
The graduate has communication competences in both working languages (German at EFRL level C1) and basic translation and interpreting skills which he/she is expected to be able to develop rapidly according to the requirements of the client / employer. The graduate’s broad general knowledge foundation meets the requirements for higher degree studies.
