The graduate is highly proficient in standard and academic English, fulfilling requirements of the C2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. These skills are combined with detailed knowledge of Irish studies, together with literary and cultural theory and histories of Anglophone literatures and cultures.

The graduate can work as a specialized translator of literary and academic texts, an editor of complex literary and academic material, in national and international media, diplomacy, etc. He/she is qualified to enrol in PhD programmes in Anglophone literatures and cultures and related disciplines at leading international universities.
