Graduates of the Ph.D. programme in Czech Language have a broad overview of the entire field of linguistic Czech studies and of general linguistics including new linguistic disciplines; have a thorough grounding in their specialisation within the field of Czech linguistic studies; possess skills in professional reflection and application of linguistic methodology and findings to other linguistic areas. Graduates may seek employment in various scientific-research and educational institutions, especially at tertiary level, in academic institutions, and also in publishing and editing and as expert assessors of language services.
