The specialisation Global and Regional Security emphasises the interconnectedness of global and regional levels of security. Graduates of the specialisation will gain a key competence to purposefully and flexibly apply theories and concepts of security in diverse regional or local contexts.

The courses taught within the specialisation provide deep insight into security situations and conflict relations in crucial global regions. The specialisation also offers detailed information about the history, policies and institutional forms of security and defence cooperation in the European and Euro-Atlantic area.
