The graduate has interdisciplinary knowledge of basic sciences and geosciences with an emphasis on the occurrence, circulation, contamination and surface and underground water protection. Understands the basics of disciplines necessary for understanding, analysis and interpretation of the processes and mechanisms related to the occurrence and circulation of water in the landscape, and its anthropogenic influence.

Has practical knowledge of modern research methods and geoinformation technologies, and skills to use modern devices for laboratory and field research. The graduate is able to solve independently basic analytical tasks in the field of water management and to solve specialized technical works within hydrological and water management studies, including projects dealing with water resources protection.
