Social Medicine is a social-medical and interdisciplinary study focused on the characteristics, dynamics and determinantss of population health and on health systém helping to protect, maintain and incerase the level of human health. Social medicine is knowledge and methodically connected with clinical disciplines.

The graduate of DSP Social Medicine will acquire scientific erudition to solve socio-health problems, acquire basic methods used in health care and health care management, master the principles of scientific, probabilistic, epidemiological, critical and systemic thinking. He / she will be able to translate the acquired knowledge and skills in social and medical sciences into his / her own scientific results, to publish and to lecture and to apply partial methods of management.
