The graduate is a qualified medical specialist capable of creating technical solutions for people with physical impairments, including applications of aids useful for everyday life as well as sport activities. He/ she understands different kinds of impairments and aids, he/ she is theoretically as well as practically well trained to design, make, apply, and modify such aids, he/ she is able to inform the impaired about the active use of the aid.
He/ she may be employed especially in jobs specialized in the production and application of orthotic and prosthetic aids. He/ she may also work as an educator at lower forms of education in this profession, or in the lifelong education of the medical staff, or as a specialist in medical insurance companies, or in the state administration responsible for the respective issues.
