Graduates of the master programme in Classical archaeology dispose over a detailed knowledge of selected aspects of ancient art and other material culture of the ancient Greek and Roman world and the neighbouring cultures. They are capable of carrying out research activities on their own, principally in their field of expertise.

They gained elementary knowledge of central European later prehistory, of ancient traditions in Czech and European art and architecture; they possess all necessary skills of field archaeology and are capable of elementary human orientation in archaeological theory and methodology. They also have basic knowledge of physical anthropology.

They are able to communicate in two world languages and have a passive knowledge of two classical languages.
