Profiles

Graduates in Comparative Literature are able to analyse the material of distinct national literatures or historical eras and to reach into other spheres of culture and its media forms. Their interpretative skills are based on general, conceptual knowledge that enables graduates to analyse both the structure of literary texts and their roles within the historical, genre-based and theoretical contexts.

Graduates are prepared to enter doctoral programmes in comparative and distinct national literatures, aesthetics, history of arts, cultural studies etc., as well as to seek employment in the spheres of media and cultural institutions.
