Graduates of the Geobiology master study programme are prepared to work both in the private sector and in interdisciplinary research focusing on the mutual interactions of the geosphere and the biosphere through time. They are able to work in specialisations within geology and biology in the following fields: paleoecology, historical biogeography, evolution, geomicrobiology, taphonomy.

They are familiar with basic methods used in the individual disciplines of interdisciplinary studies between life and Earth sciences, including field and laboratory research. They are capable to work out some ecological forecasts and continuously evaluate some types of ecological burden.
