Graduates of Evolutionary Biology at Charles University in Prague are experts in biodiversity and evolutionary processes in nature. They have general knowledge of biological diversity and detailed capabilities of species identification at least in one of the main organismal lineages.

They have a command of molecular phylogenetics and phylogenomics, as well as the phenotype analyses or evolutionary patterns of behaviour and competitive interactions. They can integrate this knowledge and skills in dealing with model organisms in biotechnology, both in research and industrial applications.

They carry out the biological assessment, i.e. diversity research and evaluation of anthropogenic impacts on ecosystems. Due to these skills they can work as experts in the formal procedures of environmental impact assessment (EIA).
