Profiles

Having received training in linguistics, literary studies and history, graduates are specialists in the Hungarian language, literature and history and have a grounding in Hungarian geography, culture and society. Graduates have Hungarian language skills at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Graduates additionally have a basic command of another, contact, language – Slovene, Croatian, Serbian, Romanian, Slovak, or Ukrainian – or a grounding in the history or literatures of other Central European countries, depending on their choice. Graduates can apply this knowledge when interpreting developments in Central Europe and analysing Hungarian texts and speech of various genres.

Graduates are also able to compose and produce texts and speech in Hungarian for various communicative purposes.
