Profiles

Graduates possess a theoretical grounding in linguistics, translation studies and cultural anthropology and are qualified experts in the national and cultural history of East-Central Europe. They are able to communicate in, and translate between, three regional languages: Czech and their profile language at the C1–C2 level and another language at the B1 level (according to the CEFR).

Graduates are prepared to meet the demands of immediate communication in multilingual contexts. Their analytical training enables them to process and critically evaluate information related to the region for the purposes of various professional fields, such as cultural and social activities, media, education, civil society and consulting for commercial as well as non-profit organizations operating in the region.
