Graduates have mastered empirical linguistic methodology; they know how to use basic statistical methods and they have deep knowledge of linguistic terminology in Czech and English. They orient themselves in the current trends in linguistic research and are familiar with various empirical methods. Graduates also can read and interpret scientific literature in English.
The graduates have an excellent command of English and all-round knowledge of the theory and methods of English synchronic and diachronic linguistics. They put their analytical, synthetic and presentation skills to outstanding use in supervision roles and in employment areas focused on language analysis and excellent linguistic skills in communication and document making.
