The education in the doctoral study programme of "Church and General History" provides the graduate with intellectual and lawful qualifications to teach history at Theological, Philosophical, and Pedagogical Faculties at Czech Universities and abroad. The graduate is similarly qualified to work at specialized historical research centres (Institutes of Academy of Sciences, archives, museums), in publishing houses or in editorial boards of scholarly journals.

The graduate is capable of independent research work.
