Profiles

Graduates of the Social Anthropology specialization know the deeper causes and wider contexts of contemporary social and cultural processes in late modern societies, can describe the ethnic, religious and social diversity of changes in Europe and discuss it in the context of modernization and globalization processes. They understand bias arising from intercultural contact, are methodologically prepared to understand the emic perspective of their research participants and to apply this knowledge in the interpretation of empirical data, have an overview of the most important theories of social anthropology and can apply them in interpreting social events.

Finally, they can plan, carry out and present socio-anthropological research and create standard academic research presentations.
