Graduates of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Middle Eastern Studies are specialists on the history and culture of the Middle East. They have a good practical knowledge of Arabic at B1 level, a grounding in the history and current geo-political situation of the region and the major approaches to its study, and the ability to work with secondary literature.
Graduates have achieved good language skills in classical Latin. They have a grounding in the fundamental areas and stages of ancient culture, and of ancient Rome in particular, enabling them to properly interpret Latin texts in their cultural context.
