Graduates of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Middle Eastern Studies are specialists on the history and culture of the Middle East. They have a good practical knowledge of Persian at B1 level, a grounding in the history and current geo-political situation of the region and the major approaches to its study, and the ability to work with secondary literature.
The graduate has communication competences in both working languages (German at EFRL level C1) and basic translation and interpreting skills which he/she is expected to be able to develop rapidly according to the requirements of the client / employer. The graduate’s broad general knowledge foundation meets the requirements for higher degree studies.
