In addition to theoretical and historical aspects of the functioning of news reporting and its techniques and forms, the graduate of specialization also has specialized knowledge of basic political realities. He/she has basic knowledge of the functioning of the Czech political and party system, as well as political and party systems of other countries of the so-called Visegrad Group (Slovakia, Poland and Hungary).

He/she is also aware of the specificities of political and economic journalism and the role of journalist as an actor in political and social affairs. Thanks to this, he/she is able to cover the area of political, social and economic events in Central European countries.
