Profiles

Graduates are proficient in the methodology and techniques of historical research and the historical sciences. They are knowledgeable about modern history, in particular the history from 1945 until today.

They are qualified to identify, classify and process historical resources and secondary accounts, to interpret and discuss relevant historical issues. Their comprehension of modern history enables them to identify practical and theoretical problems, and interpret them systematically.

Bound by the code of academic ethics, they approach their target audience responsibly. Their qualification, combined with their flexibility to cope with specific workload requirements, is applicable in the media, state administration, international authorities as well as educational and cultural institutions.
