Religious Studies

Study programme at Faculty of Arts |
🇨🇿 Bc.

Profiles

Graduates of the B.A. programme have a good grasp of the main theories and methodological approaches to the study of religion, have a basic knowledge of the principal ancient and modern religious traditions, and have a profound grounding in one of them. They have learnt to classify, process and critically analyse mainly textual sources from at least one religious area.

They speak one major foreign language and read texts in another one. Moreover, they have studied one difficult Classical or Oriental language for at least two years, which has taught them to work more thoroughly and precisely with language in general.

The essentially multicultural nature of religious studies means that graduates have a better understanding of other cultural worlds and the ability to compare them and interpret between them.
