The graduate possesses the basic knowledge of political science and the required knowledge of current theories of party and electoral systems. He/she is acquainted with the political system in the Czech Republic, the European tradition of political thought and Czech history seen in a broad European context and in the context of changes occurring in the period from the national revolutions of the 19th century until the current processes of European integration.
The graduate recognises the rational content of basic concepts of political theory, such as democracy, law, the State, politics, human rights, etc., and understands how they have been transformed and shaped through history. He/she is acquainted with basic theoretical models and is thus able to analyse current international relations and world politics.
