The student receives complex knowledge of contemporary language and the ways it is used in communication, of essential concepts of linguistic methodologies and terms for analysis and interpretation of a text. He/she has a coherent essential notion of the history of Czech literature and applied literary theory, and editing practice.

The graduate has achieved language competence, knowledge in the fields of German language and communication skills and communication skills (level C1 of CEFR). His/her knowledge of German literature, history and culture allows him/her to work in culture institutes, foundations, massmedia, in the sphere of administration, tourism, or as translator.
