The graduate has acquired essential knowledge about the sound patterns of language (speech production and perception, acoustic properties of speech signal, principles of phonological description, speech acquisition, elocution), as well as skills related to the analysis of speech (both instrumental and auditory, on the segmental and suprasegmental level).
The graduate has achieved language competence, knowledge in the fields of German language and communication skills and communication skills (level C1 of CEFR). His/her knowledge of German literature, history and culture allows him/her to work in culture institutes, foundations, massmedia, in the sphere of administration, tourism, or as translator.
